HONOR will bring its self-developed humanoid robots, the A1 and D1, to Malaysia for their international debut, appearing at the Malaysia Marathon 2026 on 30 August and the National Day Parade in Putrajaya on 31 August.
HONOR Robots To Debut Outside China At Malaysia Marathon

Malaysia marks the first country outside China where the robots will appear publicly, following the D1’s participation in the 2nd Beijing E-Town Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon in April, where it demonstrated mobility and endurance capabilities.
At the Malaysia Marathon 2026, the D1 will take part in the opening ceremony by completing the 10KM route, starting from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 12:00 AM, testing its speed, stability, and terrain navigation. The A1 will join participants in the 5KM category – including Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim – flagging off at 7:30 AM from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
Both robots will appear at HONOR booths at KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 29 to 30 August 2026, where visitors can view the robots up close; the booths will also feature HONOR’s latest smartphones, including the Magic V6, X9d, and 600 Series, where visitors can try out these devices’ durability through a series of on-site activities.
Following the marathon, the A1 and D1 will appear at Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August 2026 as part of the National Day parade, marking HONOR’s first participation as a parade contingent and making it the first smartphone brand to take part in the event.
Pokdepinion: For humans, marathon is a test of endurance, so is it about how long the battery lasts for robots?
