New ColorOS 16 Updates
The update introduces new fingerprint unlock animations and icon styles, allowing users to combine different visual elements to personalize the lock screen on their devices. The Camera app has been updated with two new filters – Primrose and Bold B&W – offering additional options for portrait and monochrome photography directly within the native camera app.
A new Contact Poster Preview feature allows users to preview and customize Contact Posters before assigning them, giving users more control over how they appear during calls to friends and family. The update also introduces smoother transition animations across Recent Tasks for improved multitasking responsiveness. Also new is backup face profile, which improves reliability of the Face Unlock feature.
OPPO stated the update includes additional general system refinements and performance optimizations aimed at improving overall responsiveness across the system.
