Acer Connect Vero W6m Is An Eco-Friendly Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Router That Saves Energy
In another Computex 2023 announcement, Acer debuted the new Acer Connect Vero W6m mesh router that puts its focus on eco-friendliness aside from supporting the latest Wi-Fi 6E standards. The mesh router supports tri-band connections (2.4GHz, 5GHz & 6GHz) and is said to deliver speeds of up to 7.8Gbps.
The mesh system can be paired with up to four units forming a maximum coverage area of 930m², or 465m² with its default 2-unit setup (a single unit covers 280m²). It’s powered by MediaTek SoC with quad-core, 2GHz Cortex-A53 with 1GB of RAM onboard.
Acer is touting the main selling point of this router with its packaging entirely recyclable, with the mesh chassis made with 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. It also comes with a dedicated ‘Eco’ mode to reduce power consumption and idling when not in use.
The company has yet to release any availability or pricing information of the Connect Vero W6m at the time of this writing.
Pokdepinion: As far as mesh systems go, this one looks quite a lot smaller than most offerings out there.
