Intel Processor Will Replace Celeron and Pentium for Low-Tier Laptop CPU
It appears that the blue camp’s low-tier laptop CPU will be streamlined as the Intel Processor branding will replace both Pentium and Celeron.
Farewell Celeron and Pentium, Hello Intel Processor
Intel will be streamlining their CPU offerings starting 2023, with Intel Processor replacing both Celeron and Pentium for low-tier laptop processors. They will be offered together with Intel Core, Evo, and vPro.
How each SKU under the Intel Processor branding will be differentiated is still unknown at this point, but it should be clearer the moment we get a first glimpse at one of the CPUs within the series. The timing is rather interesting as AMD also announced a new Ryzen product naming for 2023 onwards specifically for mobile CPUs.

With this change, it will make it easier for consumers to differentiate between all of Intel’s offerings and go about things accordingly with their own needs. It will not affect the types of products that the blue camp will be offering so no worries there.
Pokdepinion: I’m about pretty sure at least the Pentium name will be reused in the future, perhaps for a stronger, value-focused CPU. This is just speculation so we’ll just have to wait and see.
