Acer Malaysia has expanded its monitor lineup with the launch of the CA1 smart monitor series (comprising 31.5-inch CA321QK and 27-inch CA271), alongside the Predator X27U W2 gaming monitor.
Acer CA1 Smart Monitors

The CA1 series is built around a wheeled ErgoStand which allows users to move the monitor between rooms. It supports adjustable height, tilt, and orientation for use while seated, standing, or reclining. Both models feature anti-glare VA panels, though brightness is considerably low that any indoor location with a decent bit of sunlight is going to overpower the panel’s paltry 200 nits of brightness. Still, the 31.5-inch monitor support 4K resolution and up to 85% DCI-P3 color coverage – we cannot verify whether this is applicable to the 27-inch as well, however.

Notably, this Android 14-based smart monitor doesn’t require constant cable tethering, given that a built-in 9000mAh battery is good for up to three hours, which is just about long enough to play Oppenheimer in its entirety. There’s a pair of 8W stereo speakers onboard which we consider decent, based on our initial impressions during the hands-on. A 1080p webcam sits within the top bezel with included mechanical privacy shutter.

The CA1 series largely behaves like a supersized budget Android smartphone: it’s got an 8nm-based Rockchip RK3576 chipset (4x Cortex-A72 + 4x Cortex-A53) with 8GB RAM and 64GB storage powering the entire show, and you get access to streaming services including Netflix and YouTube by default (you can also watch all kinds of vertical format AI slop with the likes of TikTok as well, if that’s your kind of thing).

There’s Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth for connectivity with wireless screen mirroring support, and rear I/O includes a HDMI input, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port. Behind the monitor you’ll also find the three buttons commonly seen in smartphones – power, volume up and volume down – where it behaves exactly as you’d expect. We tested it, holding the power button even brings up Google Gemini, because that’s the default behavior on Android OS these days.
Predator X27U W2

Separately, Acer also introduced Predator X27U W2 gaming monitor, featuring a 26.5-inch QD-OLED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and color accuracy rated at Delta-E<2. The monitor supports a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and a 0.03ms response time, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible technology. The monitor includes HDMI 2.1 connectivity and an ergonomic stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments.
Pricing & Availability
The Acer CA321QK is priced at RM3,499 and is available immediately through authorized Acer resellers and the Acer eStore, backed by a three-year pick-up and return warranty; the Acer CA271 is priced at RM2,699 and is available for pre-order from 19 August until 30 September 2026. The Predator X27U W2 is priced at RM1,799.
Pokdepinion: Not requiring a cable to power it on is certainly a plus; but the brightness is going to be a deal-breaker for some.
