Acer Malaysia has introduced four new AOPEN gaming monitors – namely the AOPEN 32HC5QU S3, 27HC5R Z1, 27KG3U M3, and 25MV1Q Z1; also unveiled is the new Aspire 14 AI laptop announced in CES 2025 earlier this year.
AOPEN Monitors
On the monitor side, the AOPEN 32HC5QU S3 features a 31.5-inch VA panel with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution with 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, housed in a 1500R display curvature; the AOPEN 27HC5R Z1 is equipped with a 27-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 280Hz VA panel with the 1500R curvature as well. The third VA-powered monitor is the AOPEN 25MV1Q Z1 with the same 280Hz refresh rate as the 27-inch model aforementioned, while the final model is the AOPEN 27KG3U M3 with a 27-inch IPS panel in QHD resolution and HDR support.
Aspire 14 AI
As for the Aspire 14 AI, this newly-launched laptop comes in two configurations for the Malaysian market: the higher-end model features Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor based on Lunar Lake architecture, with 32GB on-package LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB SSD; the second variant instead comes with the Core Ultra 5 226V chip coupled with 16GB on-package memory, along with 512GB of SSD storage.
In both cases, you’re getting a laptop that features a 14-inch FHD+ 60Hz OLED panel (certified with DisplayHDR True Black 500) with up to 22 hours of claimed battery life, along with HDMI 2.1 and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports to enable multi-monitor setups. As with modern-day laptops, you get access to several AI features, such as local AI chatbot, Acer PurifiedVoice and PurifiedView for video calls, and Windows’ own AI features as part of the Copilot+ PC package.
Pricing
The AOPEN gaming monitors are now available in Malaysia through the Acer eStore and official online stores – the AOPEN 32HC5QU S3 is priced at RM899, the 27HC5R Z1 at RM699, the 27KG3U M3 at RM699, and the 25MV1Q Z1 at RM569. The Aspire 14 AI laptop is priced at RM4,699 for the Core Ultra 7 variant, while the Core Ultra 5 model costs RM3,999, both now available nationwide.
