BenQ is launching the new ScreenBar Pro monitor light bar, which the compny claims will replace your regular LED desk lamps thanks to its broader illumination and eye strain reduction designs.

In 2017, BenQ introduced the world’s first monitor light bar, the ScreenBar, designed to enhance workspace ambiance with its patented clamp design and optimal illumination. The company is keen to clear the “misunderstandings about the necessity of monitor light bars” – simply put, it’s more than just for illuminating monitors and keyboards. It says the light bar is used to reduce eye strain caused by contrast glare that may occur in dark environments.
The ScreenBar Pro offers broader illumination suitable for various setups, including ultra-wide or dual monitors; the 3rd generation ASYM-Light technology prevents screen reflection and direct glare. BenQ says it features a patented clamp design that allows the light bar to be mounted on various types of monitors. It also includes an ultrasonic motion sensor for automatic on/off functionality and real-time auto dimming to provide optimal working illuminance of 500 lux.
The BenQ ScreenBar Pro will be available in Malaysia starting 19th August on Lazada and Shopee priced at RM849.
