This COMPUTEX 2025, MSI will be introducing its latest range of QD-OLED gaming monitors, with AI – unsurprisingly – being the focus. Two monitors will be unveiled: the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50. The lineup will introduce AI Navigator as the umbrella for all AI-related features, along with AI Care Sensor on select models.

MSI QD-OLED Monitors Lineup

The first of the two monitors showcased is the flagship MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50, which comes equipped with a 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with a 500Hz refresh rate. It uses Samsung Display’s third-generation QD-OLED panel that offers near-instantaneous 0.03ms GTG response time, 99% DCI-P3 color coverage, and certifications for VESA ClearMR 21000 for motion clarity and DisplayHDR True Black 500 for color and brightness performance.

Specifically, the MPG 271QR model will also employ an onboard NPU-based system and CMOS sensor to detect user presence every 0.2 seconds – for example, if the user is no longer in front of the monitor, the display will be powered down to conserve energy and reduce panel wear; MSI says its sensor can track human forms “with remarkable accuracy”, which enables it to make “dynamic adjustments” to the monitor’s settings, such as enabling OLED Care features.

Also announced is the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50, MSI’s first esports-focused 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor. It shares the same QHD QD-OLED panel as the aforementioned MPG model, which means all of its display feature are essentially identical, with the only difference being the lack of NPU onboard to provide the AI Care Sensor features (the usual OLED protection features will exist as usual, which can be configured manually).

Pokdepinion: Looks like an upgrade over a traditional proximity sensor used by some monitors.
