AMD Radeon RX 6800 series cards are in shorter supply than GeForce RTX 30 series?
Another day, another shortage. While it is quite hard to get your hands on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series card, it seems like it may be even more difficult to get a Radeon RX 6800 series card. The reference AMD Radeon RX 6800 series cards were released on 18th November, partner cards were to be released today, and apparently there just isn’t enough stock to go around.
Hello, we will not have any custom AIB cards upon release today.

Supply is in fact so bad, that one of the largest retailers in the US, Micro Center, reportedly does not have any custom AIB cards to sell at all. It appears that AMD cannot produce enough GPUs to meet demand, similar to what NVIDIA has been suffering for about a month now.
From a simple observation of my Facebook feed which is filled by tech retailers, it appears that there aren’t as many AMD Radeon RX 6800 series being sold in Malaysia, despite there being a flurry of activity every time NVIDIA introduced a new graphics card to the market over the last month.
I guess we will all have to wait for 2021 to be able to get our hands on any of these next-gen cards. In the meantime, don’t sell off your current graphics card just yet. You might be GPU-less for the foreseeable future.
