ASUS Introduces ROG STRIX LC & TUF OG RTX 4090 Variants
Both cards feature returning designs from GPUs of prior generations.
ASUS today introduces two new (or old, depends on how you look at it) AIB designs to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 lineup featuring designs seen on previous generation hardware. The ROG STRIX LC GeForce RTX 4090 features returning designs from ROG STRIX LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, with the same 240mm radiator, 540mm total tubing length and a 2.6-slot thickness; the OC variant can boost as high as 2640MHz under OC VBIOS mode.
Meanwhile, TUF Gaming sees the return of RTX 30 series-era designs under the new ‘TUF OG’ branding. The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG with its previous generation design features slightly thinner slot height at 3.2 slots, with the same triplet of Axial-tech fans returning as well. Clockspeed is rated for 2595MHz for OC variants under OC VBIOS mode, a 45MHz boost over standard variant (under OC VBIOS).
All four models under two families will feature the same I/O array, with 2x HDMI 2.1 ports and 3x DisplayPort 1.4a ports. No pricing nor local availability information has been detailed so far at this writing.
