[Computex 2024] ASUS Expands PRIME Lineup Beyond Motherboards
ASUS’s motherboard lineup is fairly straightforward: you have the high-end ROG, the mid-range TUF, and the budget PRIME lineup (there’s also the creator-focused ProArt line). Today, the company is announcing its PRIME brand will expand beyond GPUs, with new products carrying this branding.
ASUS PRIME Is Now More Than Just Motherboards
The first lineup is the PRIME GPUs, which includes three silicon variants: NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070, and RTX 4060 Ti. These models feature triple-fan, SFF-friendly form factors that are no thicker than 2.5 slots. Visual-wise, it features understated looks that may appeal to some gamers. As part of the NVIDIA SFF-Ready program, both RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER will join the list, alongside ProArt GPUs which should fit within certified SFF-Ready cases.
The PRIME ecosystem also expands into other PC components, including the ASUS PRIME AP201 mATX case, as well as the first PRIME-branded AIO CPU cooler. PRIME PSUs are ATX 3.0-compliant, 80PLUS Gold-rated, with 750W and 850W variants, both offering 8-year warranty.
ASUS says the PRIME GPUs will hit the shelves “very soon”, though no date has been specified at this writing. No availability information has been announced for other PRIME products.
