GIGABYTE AORUS Extreme WATERFORCE cards are here to take Ampere to its limits

GIGABYTE has unveiled some absolutely humongous 4-slot air-cooled AORUS GeForce RTX 30 series cards, but it seems like they decided that air-cooling just wasn’t enough. So they decided to unveil two liquid cooled versions of their GeForce RTX 30 series cards, the GIGABYTE AORUS XTREME GeForce RTX 30 series WATERFORCE WB and AORUS GeForce RTX 30 series WATERFORCE.

The difference between the duo is the AORUS WATERFORCE WB cards come with only a waterblock, as it is meant to be incorporated into an open-loop liquid cooling system. GIGABYTE designed the whole waterblock, even down to the tiny details like the spacing between the microfins in the coldplate, to ensure that you get optimal cooling performance. On top of that, GIGABYTE developed a patent-pending solution aimed at alleviating the ever-present fear of leaks when it comes to liquid cooling solutions.

Around the waterblock and fitting areas, there’s a leak detection circuit which will flash the lighting on the card if leakage is detected. Yes, the AORUS WATERFORCE WB cards will sport customizable RGB lighting on both the cover and backplate.

For the less adventurous, there’s also the AORUS WATERFORCE cards which come with a 240mm AIO cooler. Thanks to the closed loop design, you won’t have to worry about maintenance, unlike with the WATERFORCE WB cards. The coldplate wicks away heat from the GPU, VRAM and other critical parts, ensuring that you will be getting the most from the Ampere GPUs. Of course, you also get RGB illumination on the front and backplate of the card as well as the radiator’s two 120mm fans.

• AORUS GeForce RTX 3090 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 24G
• AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 10G
• AORUS GeForce RTX 3090 XTREME WATERFORCE 24G
• AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE 10G

All of these cards will come with six outputs, three HDMI and three DisplayPort, metal backplates and a coated PCB. They will also be covered by AORUS’ 4-year extended warranty.
