Leaker Claims NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER Series Will Make Appearance In CES 2024
Another day, another leak: the rumor mill of NVIDIA’s yet-to-be-unveiled RTX 40 SUPER series has been running at full speed in recent weeks, and this latest one courtesy of @kopite7kimi has given the timeframe of the launch. In a reply to a user on X (Twitter), the leaker merely stated three letters: “CES”.
To recap, the RTX 40 SUPER series will involve three models – the RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. All three models are set to include small upgrades in terms of core counts or VRAM, though the 4070S in particular is set to gain 20 watts of extra TGP to work with, whereas the other two will retain the same power draw as their standard namesakes.
The leak pointing to CES should mean an early 2024 launch for these GPUs. Traditionally, this annual trade show is held in January of each year, and with NVIDIA already booked three conference rooms for the event, an announcement for these models should be in the cards. That said, the company is likely to launch “at least” two new cards, if not three. This leak did not specify whether the CES presence meant a product launch or just merely an announcement – though we suppose a future leak should reveal this soon enough.
