After multiple leaks of GeForce RTX 30 series laptops, it appears that NVIDIA might be going to finally announce the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 30 series laptop GPUs during CES 2021. Or maybe the lower-end GeForce RTX 30 series that slot in below the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti?

We will only have to wait until next month to find out, as NVIDIA has scheduled the “GeForce RTX: Game On” event for 12th January. The broadcasted event will be streamed at 9am PST (1am Malaysia Time), so guess who’s not sleeping on 13th January 2021? You can also add it your calendar if you are interested.

CES has become a pretty popular event for brands to unveil new laptops, so we should be seeing at least a part of NVIDIA’s mobile GPU lineup. There has been talk of NVIDIA jumping over to TSMC’s 7nm in 2021, so maybe we will see something along those lines as well?

Pokdepinion: I wonder whether we will see a return to the huge gap between desktop and mobile GPUs, given that the flagship Ampere GPUs have a really high TGP that most laptops will find impossible to cool.
