NVIDIA’s Upcoming Mid-range RTX 40 GPU Launch Date Leaked
The full RTX 40 desktop family should be complete before June 2023.
Rumors are flying around when it comes to NVIDIA’s GPU launch dates – and leaker @MEGAsizeGPU has revealed at least two upcoming launches for the mid-range RTX 40 models. Currently, only three desktop RTX 40 series GPUs has been released, which is RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti. The next product in line, RTX 4070 is said to launch at April 13th and followed by RTX 4060 Ti, 4060 then 4050.
The leaker claims that RTX 4060 Ti will launch by the ‘end of May’, while RTX 4050 follows shortly after in June. As for the regular RTX 4060, apparently the launch date is “not decided yet”. It’d be slightly unusual if the RTX 4060 is launched later than RTX 4050, but perhaps the AD107 production may have affected such decisions (RTX 4060 is said to be using a full AD107 die instead of cut-down AD106).
As for the specs, the RTX 4060 Ti uses a cut-down GA106 die with 4352 CUDAs, while RTX 4060 will step down to a full GA107 die with 3072 CUDAs at disposal. Both models will come equipped with 8GB GDDR6, whereas the RTX 4050 will be using a cut-down GA107 die with 2560 CUDAs active and uses 6GB GDDR6 VRAM instead, 2GB less than its predecessor.

Pokdepinion: That seems like too tight of a gap to launch RTX 4060 in between other two models. Unless they launch it concurrently?
