NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Now Has A Launch Date, Allegedly

This time around we have hardware leaker @hongxing2020 revealing details on the launch date for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 – it’s said to be launching on April 13th, 2023. The GPU is expected to share the same GPU core as the 4070 Ti, albeit with fewer cores: core configuration is said to be including 5888 CUDA cores, as opposed to 7680 CUDAs on the 4070 Ti. Leaked photos of the AD104-250/251 GPU variant have seemingly confirmed that the RTX 4070 will use this die.

The RTX 4070 is expected to launch with the same memory specifications as the Ti model, including 12GB GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit interface. It is said that the RTX 4070 will have a TDP of 200W, which is significantly lower than the 4070 Ti’s TDP of 285W. One thing to note – it’s possible NVIDIA may discuss updates to the GeForce RTX 40 series in the upcoming GTC keynote on March 21st, so keep your eyes peeled.

Pokdepinion: GTC is one week from now, wouldn’t be far off to say Jensen Huang will at least mention something about 4070 at least.
