The Badly-Named NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Is Apparently Real
Frankly speaking, the tech industry isn’t the best when it comes to naming things: this ranges from the confusingly-sounding iPhone Xs Max (‘X’ pronounced as ‘ten’ instead of ‘eks’, in case you wonder), or the countless alphanumerical names thrown into monitors, CPUs, and many things elsewhere. Based on this leak courtesy of @MEGAsizeGPU, it looks like another one is going into this list: the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.
I can’t believe this name is real
Plus, the new super logo and color are kinda ugly…… pic.twitter.com/trxytR9cSV— MEGAsizeGPU (@Zed__Wang) November 7, 2023
This leak involves a packaging design template intended for the GPU in question – and here we can see the “SUPER” branding tacked on after the “Ti” branding, whereas another version (presumably the narrow side of the box) shows the SUPER branding in larger size sitting below the 4070 Ti wordmark. The leaker also decried the branding in the same post on X (Twitter), noting the new branding’s design is “kinda ugly”.
Specs-wise, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is expected to pack 8448 CUDA cores, and a bigger, 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM, while retaining the same 285W TGP as the Ti model. As noted in this recent leak – NVIDIA is expected to reveal this GPU (alongside RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 SUPER) at the upcoming CES slated for January 2024.

Pokdepinion: More naming shenanigans – just another day in the tech world, I suppose.
