This China-Exclusive ZOTAC RTX 4090 Is Yet Another Massively-Sized GPU
AIBs clearly have no issues with GPU getting thicker, longer, and just generally occupies more spaces in your PC as long as there is space to be filled. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 being one of the most difficult GPU to keep cool thanks to its 450W TGP has pushed AIBs making ever larger designs in a race to provide as much heat dissipation with as little noise as possible.
The result? In ZOTAC’s case, this rather oddly-shaped GPU that measures a staggering 381mm in length, named RTX 4090 PGF (which stands for ‘Prime Gamer Force’, apparently). This isn’t your regular RTX 4090, though. ZOTAC gave the card as much as 28 phases in the VRM (24+4 stage), which is said to be rated for 525 watts (however, ITHome’s testing has shown it keeping its 450W power limit as NVIDIA dictates). In turn, it gets the highest overclocks among ZOTAC’s lineup with 2625MHz on OC mode, faster than its AMP AIRO models.
Despite its massive length, in return the thickness is on the “thinner” side as far as RTX 4090 is concerned, measuring at 74mm, or roughly 3 slots thick. It’s still a Chinese-only model for now, but should you want one, the current pricing over at China is 17,599 RMB, or roughly $2,500. Pour one out for your wallets, if you do…
