ASUS today has announced the ROG Azoth Extreme, a 75% wireless gaming keyboard built with aluminum-alloy chassis and metal frame, and even a carbon-fiber positioning plate – a material that is considered exotic in PC components at large.

One of the standout features of the Azoth Extreme is its adjustable gasket mount, where users can easily switch between hard and soft typing feels via a quick-flip switch. The keyboard also includes a full-color OLED touchscreen that displays system information and settings, with an adjacent three-way knob for instant adjustments. For switches, ASUS has opted for pre-lubed ROG NX mechanical switches for this keyboard, though it’s hot-swappable.

The keyboard also supports 8000Hz polling rate with the ROG Polling Rate Booster, and it offers up to 1600 hours of battery life – that’s 66.6 days, in case you need to bring up a calculator. Meanwhile, carbon fiber is used as the keyboard’s positioning plate, which offers high levels of rigidity compared to other materials (it’s also very lightweight). Its elasticity properties help with shock absorption to minimize vibrations while typing. It also incorporates three dampening layers, including two PORON polyurethane layers and a silicone pad, to further reduce switch pinging and echoes.

In terms of connectivity, the Azoth Extreme supports tri-mode connections: Bluetooth, low-latency ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz RF wireless, and wired USB. The keyboard also comes with an extended silicone wrist rest for added comfort. As for the 1.47-inch full-color OLED display on the keyboard, it provides real-time information such as connection status, Caps Lock, and PC/Mac mode indicators. It’s also touch-supported, which allows user to access and monitor metrics, such as keystrokes per second.

The ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme will be available in mid-August in Malaysia, though no local pricing has been announced at this writing.

Pokdepinion: Sounds pretty in line with the Extreme moniker from the materials used for this keyboard.
