The COLORFUL iGame B850I Mini OC is the newest AMD-based motherboard launched by the Chinese PC components maker, which features mini-ITX form factor targeting small form factor (SFF) PC builds using AMD Ryzen processors.

The new motherboard’s power delivery system uses a 9+2+1 phase design with 60A DrMOS stages, which is claimed to sufficiently handle Ryzen 9 9950X at full tilt (or 170W socket power draw, in other words). The board also includes a dedicated clock generator, which COLORFUL states makes it the only Mini-ITX board in its class to support “asynchronous overclocking,” meaning the CPU’s reference base clock (BCLK) can be tuned independently of other components that rely on it, typically running at exactly 100MHz.
For memory support, the iGame B850I Mini OC covers both Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles up to 8400 MT/s, with manual tuning capable of exceeding 8800 MT/s facilitated by its 10-layer PCB design. Storage options include two PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, while connectivity features Realtek 5GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7; the rear I/O panel – which COLORFUL says is comparable to micro-ATX models – provides eight USB ports in total, including one USB 20Gbps Type-C port. HDMI and DisplayPort is also present, too.
The board uses a black-and-silver design intended to match COLORFUL’s iGame Mini OC Series graphics cards, allowing coordinated SFF system builds within the company’s iGame products in other segments, such as GPUs. While the VRM certainly serves a visual purpose, it looks to be pretty functional in terms of cooling with a look resembling heatsink fins (and it applies to the primary SSD slots as well), and that should translate to better cooling as well.
