Firstly, the Z890 series motherboards feature the redesigned Click BIOS X interface; the lineup also supports overclocking up to 9200+ MT/s, with the enthusiast model MEG Z890 UNIFY-X in particular capable of reaching memory frequencies up to 9600 MT/s. New sets of connectivity, which MSI referred under the Ultra Connect umbrella, includes Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 5.0, Intel Killer 5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and a Thunderbolt 5 header for future connectivity expansion.

MSI has integrated several EZ DIY features for easy installation and upgrades. These include the EZ PCIe Release, EZ PCIe Clip II, EZ M.2 Clip II, and EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II, EZ Conn-Design, and EZ Antenna; the motherboards also feature a new 8-pin supplemental PCIe power connector on the motherboard that supports up to 2.5x power excursions from the PCIe slots.

For the flagship MEG series, MSI has also included a new Tuning Controller with onboard debug LED and frequency controls exclusively for the MEG Z890 UNIFY-X for overclocking – speaking of which, it features a beefy 26-phase VRM which should be plenty for extreme overclocking; meanwhile, the MEG Z890 GODLIKE introduces a new EZ Link design that combines several headers into the EZ Bridge and EZ Control Hub for cleaner cabling. The GODLIKE will also get two new exclusive expansion cards – one for Thunderbolt 5 expansion, while the other is for additional M.2 storage.

Other models, like the MPG series, will offer two colors (in the form of EDGE TI and CARBON variant) for PC builds with respective themes; while MAG series will feature the sole Z890 TOMAHAWK WIFI serving as the mainstream model for the Z890 chipset (unboxing and first look, here). PRO series, meanwhile, will be offered “at an affordable price”, with a minimalist look and various EZ designs for simpler installation process.

Pokdepinion: I personally is a fan of GODLIKE’s design.
