Some people spray a bit of fragrance to make them smell nice for the big occasion, and ASUS now gives you the opportunity to do the same to a computer mouse. Specifically, the ASUS Fragrance Mouse MD101 comes with a vial to store aromatic oils, if you’re into that kind of stuff.

The mouse itself is a wireless mouse with Bluetooth and 2.4GHz capabilities via a dongle, comes equipped with PTFE feet (the same material used in gaming mice for smooth gliding), while its sensor offer three adjustable DPI levels. The mouse clicks are designed to be “almost-silent,” like most office mice, and ASUS says the switches are rated for 10 million clicks. Powering it is a single AA battery that is claimed to last a year.

With the specs out of the way, here’s the interesting part: below the AA battery compartment is where you’ll find a translucent container which stores aromatic oils of your choosing. According to its press release, the container can be washed and refilled with different scents. It’s also available in two colors: Iridescent White and Rose Clay.

This is not the first time ASUS has delved into fragrance-enhanced gadgets – last year, ASUS China released a laptop with a fragrance dispenser in collaboration with the fashion brand Anna Sui, based on the Vivobook S 14 OLED’s chassis. No word on if this mouse will be released in Malaysia, but given that it’s been announced globally, there’s a good chance you can get a mouse designed to smell nice, right here.

Pokdepinion: That’s definitely a selling point.
