Lexar has introduced its latest product lineup in Malaysia, featuring memory cards, portable SSDs, internal SSDs, and DRAM solutions. The “Memory in the Making” event showcased products designed for tech enthusiasts, professionals, and everyday users, along with new launches.
New Lexar Memory & Storage Lineup
Lexar starts by announcing the Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub, available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, designed for mobile video production. It can operate with or without a hub for accessories like lights and microphones to be connected alongside the SSD, which delivers up to 1050MB/s read and 1000MB/s write speeds via USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps), and supports 4K60 ProRes capture on latest Apple smartphones.
The SL500 series, including the SL500 and SL500 with Magnetic Set, offers up to 2000MB/s read and 1800MB/s write speeds, with the latter including a USB-C cable, magnetic case, and attachment ring; Lexar also introduced the rugged ARMOR 700 Portable SSD, with speeds up to 2000MB/s and IP66-rated protection against water, dust, and drops up to three meters.
For photography, the CFexpress Type B GOLD and Type A SILVER cards support 8K video, while the SILVER and SILVER PLUS SDXC/microSDXC series provides up to 205MB/s read and 150MB/s write speeds for 4K60 video recording.
For PC components, Lexar’s NM790 and PLAY 2280 M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs (compatible with PS5) now offer up to 8TB capacity, with speeds up to 7400MB/s read and 6500MB/s write speeds; meanwhile, the ARES RGB DDR5 series provides speeds up to 8000MT/s, featuring SK Hynix DRAM packages known for good overclocking capabilities.
