Grab Expands #SavewithGrab With New GrabUnlimited Plans & Lower e-Hailing Fares
Introduced last year, Grab Malaysia today is expanding its #SavewithGrab campaign aimed at catering to budget-conscious consumers. The Ministry of Finance’s Economic Outlook 2024 has noted that Malaysia’s inflation rate is forecasted to range between 2.1% to 3.6% this year, and the company is looking to cater to the need for “practical and accessible everyday solutions.”
Hassan Alsagoff, Grab Malaysia’s Head of Marketing, said: “Our intention is to serve all Malaysians in every way they need, and these enhancements help us in achieving that by making our platform more accessible to a wider segment of consumers. New updates such as GrabUnlimited Long Term Plans and Stamp Cards, doesn’t just help us stay relevant in the minds of budget-conscious consumers, but also opens up more savings opportunities for all our consumers while potentially boosting earnings for driver-, delivery-, and merchant-partners too.”
As part of the expansion, Grab is bringing back ‘Kombo Jimat’ and ‘Pakej RAHMAH’ for its GrabFood service on top of existing HOTDEALS and HUNGRYDEALS vouchers; it’s also introducing a new kind of loyalty program in the form of stamp cards – this applies to both GrabFood and in-store orders on participating restaurants. Meanwhile, GrabUnlimited is offering 6-month and 12-month subscriptions with a new, lower starting price of RM3.99.
#SaveWithGrab is also introducing cost-saving plans to its GrabCar service, upon the public’s positive feedback from its GrabFood Saver program (which lowers delivery prices in exchange for lower delivery priority). The new GrabCar Saver tier will be available in selected cities and times, with fare savings up to 20%, the company says. Also, owners of GX Card will be offered rewards such as unlimited 1% cashback, 1.5% GrabRewards points for purchases made through Jaya Grocer, and the GX Savings Account will offer 3% p.a. daily interest rate upon creation.
“As we continue to serve everyday Malaysians, we also look forward to serving even more of their needs, be it if they require solutions that are budget friendly, quick and fast, or customised,” Alsagoff added.
Pokdepinion: Much appreciated for this trying times, Grab!
