This year is the 60th anniversary of Malaysia Day (Hari Malaysia), which is the day Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak (and Singapore, briefly) formed into a single country 60 years ago. In line with the celebration, CelcomDigi has crowdsourced the public to create an ad as an effort in portraying the “rich diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and traditions found in Malaysia”.
The ad, inspired by this year’s Hari Kebangsaan theme, “Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan, Penuhi Harapan”, consists of 250 photos of Malaysians showing their love to the homeland selected from hundreds of submissions to bring this ad to life. The company believes that the initiative resonates with its core values, “Stronger Together”, to serve customers and citizens with its best 5G solutions on the country’s widest and fastest network.
As part of the celebration, CelcomDigi is introducing a new no-contract device program, ‘Program Peranti 5G Untuk Semua’, which is available for a limited time via CelcomDigi Online Shop. Users can purchase selected 5G smartphones in three tiers of pricing with no contractual obligations, starting from RM699.
CelcomDigi is also offering its 5G home WiFi plan at RM99/month for a limited time with no contract – users can instantly connect to 5G and 4G networks at unlimited speeds on areas without fiber network coverage. The plan is also available as a bundle with a dual-band router (worth RM1,899) for the monthly price of RM149 with a 24-month contract.
