Maxis today announces upgrades to its Hotlink monthly prepaid passes, offering users more speed and quota for various plans. In this upgrade scheme, customers below the age of 24 will also be eligible for cashback rewards. (Click here to read the FAQ on the upgrades.)
Hotlink Prepaid Upgrades

Starting today, the Hotlink UNLIMITED RM50 and RM40 passes now provide speeds up to 24Mbps on both 4G and 5G networks, along with doubling the FUP quota up to 200GB per month during the nighttime (8pm to 8am). Like before, users have access to uncapped speed when connected to 5G networks during these hours.
The Hotlink PANTAS RM35 pass now comes with more base quota (from 30GB to 50GB/month), with the 5G-only quota increased to 50GB as well – effectively, this brings the total quota from 60GB (30+30GB) to 100GB (50+50GB) per month; the RM25 pass, meanwhile, increases the quota from 40GB (20+20GB) to 60GB (30+30GB) in respective metrics. Maxis has noted that daily and weekly passes remains unchanged for those who prefer more flexible options.
Additionally, youths under 24 years old (with SIM registered in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Sarawak, Sabah & Labuan) can benefit from a 20% cashback on each purchase of the monthly internet passes under the Pakej Belia program. Additional perks for Hotlink users include discounts on Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) in-game items and access to the Hotlink Super Streamer Pass for RM9.90 per month, plus over 200 rewards to be claimed.
Pokdepinion: That adds more value for sure – though I do hope there are plans for low-cost monthly options for those who don’t necessarily need all that quota.
