U Mobile has launched a new prepaid mobile plan for international visitors called ULTRA Tourist Plan, offering 100GB of unlimited speed data with hotspot included. Per the company, this new plan is introduced following “strong response” to the ULTRA Tourist 24 Hour Trial plan introduced in February this year.
ULTRA Tourist Plan Includes 22 Grab Vouchers
The telco collaborated with Grab Malaysia to also include a complimentary 30-day Grab Visit Malaysia 2026 Travel Pass worth up to RM186 in the ULTRA Tourist Plan, which is the first telco in Malaysia to bundle a dedicated tourist mobile plan with a travel pass. All of these can be purchased for just RM15 (US$3.68), which gives tourists a 7-day internet access with 100GB of data available.
The Grab Visit Malaysia 2026 Travel Pass includes 22 vouchers across rides, food, and deliveries: ride vouchers include RM20 off advance bookings and discounts on airport rides, EV rides, GrabRent, and GrabExec, dining vouchers offer 20% off selected GrabFood deliveries and Grab Dine Out restaurants, while shopping vouchers provide 10% off GrabMart orders from selected merchants.
Navin Manian, Chief Consumer Business Officer of U Mobile, said the plan was developed based on demand identified through the earlier trial and is designed to give international visitors access to the company’s 5G network during their stay in Malaysia.
U Mobile says the ULTRA Tourist Plan is available to non-Malaysian passport holders in physical SIM or eSIM formats. Physical SIMs can be purchased at 32 U Mobile stores, selected authorized dealers, and 7-Eleven outlets at international airports across Malaysia. The eSIM version, meanwhile, can be purchased through the U Mobile website or via the MyUMobile app, allowing activation before arrival in Malaysia.
