Apple Announces 2024 Apple Design Awards Winners

Apple today revealed the winners of its annual Apple Design Awards, recognizing 14 apps and games (chosen from 42 finalists) for their exceptional design and technical achievement. These winners, chosen from a diverse group of developers worldwide, will be honored at the upcoming WWDC24 event.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, stated, “It’s inspiring to see how developers are using our technology to create exceptional apps and games that enhance the lives of users. This year’s winners have demonstrated how apps can create powerful and moving experiences — and we’re excited to celebrate their hard work and ingenuity at WWDC this year.”

The awards highlight winners across seven categories, each honoring an app and a game: Delight and Fun, Inclusivity, Innovation, Interaction, Social Impact, Visuals and Graphics, and Spatial Computing.

Apple Design Awards 2024 Winners

In the Delight and Fun category, Bears Gratitude by Isuru Wanasinghe and NYT Games by The New York Times Company were recognized; oko by AYES and Crayola Adventures by Red Games Co. won under the Inclusivity category. For the Innovation category, the awards went to Procreate Dreams by Procreate and Lost in Play by Happy Juice Games. Interaction awards were given to Crouton by Devin Davies and Rytmos by Floppy Club.

Winners under Social Impact category are Gentler Streak Fitness Tracker by Gentler Stories and The Wreck by The Pixel Hunt; while Visuals and Graphics awards went to Rooms by Things, Inc. and Lies of P by NEOWIZ. In the new Spatial Computing category, djay pro by algoriddim GmbH and Blackbox by Shapes and Stories were recognized.
