In case you need to ask some very complex questions that even Google Assistant couldn’t understand, now you have a solution courtesy of Microsoft: the company has quietly released its AI-powered Copilot assistant (formerly Bing Chat) to Android devices, as spotted by @technosarusrex on X (Twitter).

The tweet also linked to the app listing on the Google Play Store (or just click here), which you can tap on to jump straight into action. But before that, some more context you should know: the app, on its surface, looks not much different than the one you likely have used through Bing or Windows 11, all of which are powered by the same GPT-4 and DALL-E 3 models. It’s worth pointing out that iOS users can still use the Bing chat despite the absence of a dedicated Copilot app – they just need to go through the Bing app instead.

The GPT-4 model is also more advanced than the one in the free tier of OpenAI’s chatbot, which uses the GPT-3.5 model. The more advanced model requires an active subscription (ChatGPT Plus), which Microsoft does not require, as The Verge noted.
