Claim RM150 eBelia When You Verify Your Boost Account
Boost has just announced that they have been selected as the official eWallet for the eBelia initiative that was announced during the previous Budget 2021 announcement. This is the third time in less than a year that Boost has been chosen for similar government incentive programmes.
Verify your Boost account to redeem the RM150 eBelia incentive
eBelia is an initiative under the Government’s PEMERKASA economic stimulus package aimed at kickstarting the country’s economic and livelihood recovery after over a year of battling the pandemic. On 1 June, qualifying Malaysian students aged 18 to 20 years old studying at either diploma or SKM4 level and above in registered local higher learning institutions will receive an RM150 e-wallet opportunity.
In the meantime, Boost recommends that users (both new and old) perform the eKYC (electronic Know-Your-Customer) account verification process early if they haven’t done so already. This will make claiming the RM150 eBelia e-wallet bonus with Boost much smoother.
Users can easily perform the eKYC verification process with these four simple steps:
- Under the ‘Profile’ tab, tap on ‘My Wallet’
- Tap ‘Upgrade’
- Follow the instructions by taking pictures of your IC and a selfie
- Tap ‘Submit’ and wait for the success confirmation
Moreover, a user’s wallet will be upgraded from Basic to Premium after completing the eKYC process. Users with a Premium wallet account have access to the full spectrum of Boost’s functions and features, including a larger wallet size of RM4,999.
Students may also use Boost to access over 241,000 offline and online retailers to get whatever they need or manage their college and university fees. Merchants are currently using Boost in and around 58 campuses across the country, including Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Management and Science University, and Universiti Tenaga Nasional, to name a few.
That’s not all. Boost has a slew of great deals and perks to go along with the RM150 eBelia stimulus. Details on these offers will be disclosed on 1 June. For more information, do check out Boost’s official website or stay tuned to their official social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
Pokdepinion: I’m really liking how the government is encouraging the use of eWallets in Malaysia. I may not agree with everything they do but for this, I tip my hat to them.
