WhatsApp Brings New Features To Channels, Including Voice Updates

WhatsApp today is bringing more updates to its Channels feature. The new update is currently rolling out to all users, which includes voice updates, polls, share to status, and the ability to assign multiple admins on one Channel.

The first addition is a popular one – Channel owners can now post updates via voice messages. This was first tested by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny yesterday, and Meta says the feature is now rolling out broadly. In addition to that, they can now create polls for the audience to vote. Each Channel can now assign up to 16 admins, so this should be a good feature addition for those doing round-the-clock updates.

As for the users following Channels, they now can share the updates into Status, the messaging app’s equivalent to Instagram Stories. To do that, simply tap and hold an update and select the ‘Forward’ option, then tap on ‘My Status’.

All features are currently rolling out to all users, so you may see these new features soon enough.

Pokdepinion: Solid update. This should help Channel owners increase engagement.
