Elon Musk Announces Twitter’s Transformation into X, The Future State of Unlimited Interactivity

In a surprising move, tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has revealed plans to transform Twitter into a new platform called X. The announcement came via a tweet over the weekend, sparking a flurry of speculation among users and industry observers alike. The news was later confirmed by newly appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino, who shed light on the vision behind X.

Farewell Twitter, Hello X

According to Yaccarino, X will represent “the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking.” The platform will be powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology, promising users a groundbreaking and immersive social experience.

Musk’s late-night Saturday post hinted at a gradual departure from the familiar Twitter branding, with the removal of the iconic blue bird logo being part of the transformation. The x.com domain has already been redirected to twitter.com, signaling that the changes are imminent and set to go live in a matter of hours. Additionally, official documentation indicates that Twitter Inc. has undergone a name change to X Corp. in the State of Nevada, with its headquarters based in San Francisco, California.

Since Musk’s takeover of the social media giant following a $44 billion deal, Twitter has undergone significant transformations. The controversial owner made drastic moves, including the dismissal of executive leaders, disbanding the board of directors, and significantly downsizing the workforce from almost 8,000 employees to just 1,500. These radical changes, coupled with Musk’s contentious views on free speech, have resulted in a sharp decline in ad revenue.

Presently, the platform still faces a considerable 50% decline in cash flow. To address this financial challenge,”Twitter Blue” was introduced, a subscription service allowing users to pay $8 per month for exclusive features, such as the coveted “Verified” blue tick, tweet editing capabilities, extended character limits, and a share in ad revenue.
