Following the recent announcement on the M3 iPad Air, Apple is announcing more products this time around, focusing on Macs. In this case, the MacBook Air is now updated with the M4 chip, and comes equipped with a new 12MP Centre Stage camera, plus a new color option – Sky Blue.
M4 MacBook Air Announced

One of the choices to make for would-be buyers of an Apple product, for better or for worse, is the colors – props if you remember the craze around Rose Gold for iPhone 6 almost 10 years ago. With the new Sky Blue colorway, Apple says the included MagSafe charging cable will be color-matched, just like all other color options for this model (which includes Midnight, Starlight, and Silver).

Aesthetics aside, the M4 chip is capable of doubling M1 MacBook Air’s performance per Apple’s claims, with a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU available. Battery life is claimed to be up to 18 hours on a single charge, and the new M4 chip also comes with Apple Intelligence support with all the AI feature integrations found in many of Cupertino’s recent products. Besides that, the laptop now includes a 12MP Centre Stage camera with Desk View support, which supports top-down view of your desk by using some camera warping tricks.

The new MacBook Air with M4 will soon be available for purchase through Apple’s online store, the Apple Store app, and authorized resellers, with the 13-inch model starting at RM4,499, while the 15-inch model is priced at RM5,499, with education pricing at RM4,069 and RM5,069, respectively.
