Upcoming Samsung Odyssey Gaming Monitors

Samsung claims the upcoming Odyssey OLED G9 is the world’s first 49-inch DQHD gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate, built on a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem technology that is up to 1.3x more efficient and twice the lifetime of the previous generation. It offers Dual QHD resolution (5120 x 1440), a 0.03ms GtG response time, and Dual Mode support, allowing users to switch to Dual HD (2560 x 720) at up to 720Hz.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is a 32-inch UHD OLED monitor pairing QD-OLED picture quality with a 360Hz top refresh rate and Triple Mode DFR support, switching between UHD at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz and FHD at 680Hz. It includes Samsung Glare Free technology (54% less glossy than conventional anti-reflection film), a 0.03ms GtG response time, VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible standards. Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, two HDMI ports, one USB-C port with 98W Power Delivery, a two-port USB hub and KVM support.

Next, the Odyssey OLED G7 is described as the world’s first 42-inch 16:9 curved OLED gaming monitor, with a screen area approximately 72% larger than the previous 32-inch model. It combines 1000R curvature, 4K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms GtG response time, alongside Glare Free technology for reduced daytime reflections. Lastly, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 features an ultra-fast 1100Hz refresh rate on its Fast IPS panel (with 1ms response time), building on the model introduced at CES 2026 with a finalized specification of 1100Hz in HD and 600Hz in QHD via DFR. It will be available globally in the 2H 2026.
Pokdepinion: 1100Hz sure is face-meltingly fast.
