Hisense has ranked No. 1 globally in shipments of TVs 100 inches and above for H1 2026, according to Omdia, capturing a 55.1% market share. The company attributed the result to growing demand for larger screens and its ability to bring big-screen television experiences to a wider range of households.
Hisense Continues Ultra Large TV Segment Leadership
The large-screen models includes Hisense’s UR9 Series, which uses RGB MiniLED technology, independently controlling red, green and blue light at the backlight source to produce color, contrast and detail. The U7 and U6 Pro Series also offers models in excess of 100 inches, utilizing Hi-QLED MiniLED technology that combines local dimming with Quantum Dot color to deliver brighter highlights, deeper blacks and more vibrant color reproduction across movies, sports and everyday content.
Hisense’s large-screen offerings also includes its Laser TV lineup, where the company accounted for more than 70% of global shipments in 2025, according to the company. This means more than two out of every three Laser TVs shipped worldwide in that period came from the Chinese TV maker.
At IFA 2026, Hisense will present its display technology under the theme “Innovating a Brighter Life,” highlighting its approach to intelligent and immersive viewing experiences. The exhibition will take place from September 4–8, 09:00–17:00 daily, in Hall 23a of Messe Berlin.
Pokdepinion: Over 70% of global Laser TV shipments is a pretty dominant slice of a niche category.
