O.P. Neon Games has announced that TCG: Card Shop Simulator has officially exited Early Access, launching its full 1.0 version on Steam. The solo-developed Malaysian indie title has amassed more than four million players across Steam and Xbox Game Preview during its Early Access period, holding a user review rating above 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam.

Ding Shen Sia, Founder of O.P. Neon Games and creator of the game, said the project began after he experienced burnout from solo mobile game development in 2023, at a time when he “felt aimless and wasn’t sure what to do with [his] life.” The idea of TCG: Card Shop Simulator came to be simply because he wanted to make Steam Trading Cards, and thought it was nice to “open an infinite amount of TCG card packs in the game.”
Originally with modest expectations to sell 100,000 copies in a year, the game became a smash hit shortly after it was popularized in online communities – as a result, the game hit the sales milestone within three days of release. Since entering Early Access, TCG: Card Shop Simulator has surpassed four million players across Steam and Xbox Game Preview, with more than 3.5 million copies sold during that period.
The version 1.0 update introduces a playable Tetramon TCG mode, allowing players to build decks and battle using cards they have collected within the game, rather than solely managing a shop; this is accompanied by a Tournament Mode, enabling players to host NPC-based competitions, alongside the game’s existing customization, pricing and shop-management systems. Further updates, bug fixes and additional content are planned following the 1.0 launch, with detailed patch notes available on the game’s Steam page.
TCG: Card Shop Simulator is now available for download on Steam (PC), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, at RM46.99 (Steam) / RM78.00 (Xbox) / US$19.99 (everywhere else). It is also available as part of Xbox Game Pass subscription.
