Mastercard Dream Match Campaign
Fans of Hallyu might know Dex from the highly-popular Korean dating reality show Single’s Inferno – in this Mastercard campaign, he is designated as the role of matchmaker. Through social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, travelers can explore a curated selection of experiences based on their personal interests.
“With Dream Match, we’re tapping into that mindset in a way that is playful, culturally relevant and distinctly Mastercard,” said Dheeraj Raina, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing and Communications for Southeast Asia at Mastercard. The decision to get Dex on board as the matchmaker is described as a “natural fit,” and the company is expect to bring this experience “in a fresh and engaging way.”
Mastercard says the campaign also serves as a platform for ecosystem stakeholders, combining its network reach with curated experiences and exclusive offers to help brands and destinations attract and engage Korean visitors across multiple touchpoints.
The campaign comes against a backdrop of strong Korean outbound travel to the region. According to data from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), ASEAN destinations collectively welcomed an estimated 6.1 million Korean visitors in the first nine months of 2025. Vietnam was the standout destination, receiving 3.2 million Korean visitors in the same period.
