Samsung has expanded Galaxy AI language support to include Malay, with the update covering key features including Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist. That brings the total number of supported languages for these features to 24.
Galaxy AI Now Adds Malay Support
The language expansion covers features designed for translation, transcription and summarization tasks – Call Assist, which assists users during phone calls, now operates in Malay alongside Hungarian as newly added languages. Note Assist and Transcript Assist similarly gain Malay support, enabling users to work with spoken and written content in the language. Interpreter, which facilitates real-time conversation translation, is also part of the update.
Now Nudge, a Galaxy AI feature that suggests a contextually relevant next action based on what is currently displayed on screen, is also receiving eight additional languages, bringing it to 24 supported languages as well.

Beyond Galaxy AI, Samsung’s device agent Bixby is also expanding its language reach. Bixby allows users to control their device through natural conversation, including adjusting settings and navigating menus without needing to know specific command names. With the addition of Polish, Thai and Vietnamese, Bixby now supports 12 languages in total.
The new Bixby languages began rolling out on 14 October, while the updated Galaxy AI language support, including Malay, is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
