What’s Wrong with Ma-ma? A Heartwarming Chinese New Year Video

In the age of technology, we often get caught up with what’s on our smartphones or what’s next hottest trend on the internet. Sometimes, we forget about the things that matter like our family. Especially with our parents coming from a different time, they may not experience life the same way as the younger generations.

In the spirit of Chinese New Year, the folks over at Samsung Malaysia has released a heartwarming video titled “What’s Wrong with Ma-ma?” which shows a sweet grandmother adapting to the new age and embracing technology as a means of keeping up and being connected with her tech savvy grandchildren.

The video itself can feel very relatable for many of us today who may feel a bit odd or weirded out by their relatives being on social media (especially the older generation), trying to connect with them but being seen as an invasion of privacy instead of simply a means of staying connected. Sometimes, we tend to forget that in a world that is continuously connected by means of technological evolution, this also includes our family members.
