DJI’s latest 360-degree action camera is here: the DJI Osmo 360 II, per the company, is the assembly of DJI’s know-how from its other products, including distortion control from its aerial camera work, stabilization from the Ronin gimbal series, and color science from the Osmo Action camera lineup.
DJI Osmo 360 II: What’s New
The DJI Osmo 360 II uses a 1-inch square HDR image sensor – claimed as a first-in-industry – designed to maintain the same 360-degree image field as a traditional 1-inch rectangular sensor while increasing sensor utilization by 25%, which DJI said reduces power consumption. The sensor supports 8K/60fps 360-degree video with 2.4μm pixels, a dynamic range of 14.5 stops (double that of its predecessor, according to DJI), and 10-bit color depth with D-Log M color profile support across all video formats.
For low-light conditions, the camera includes AI SuperNight 2.0, a noise-reduction algorithm intended to produce cleaner footage in darker environments. Creative shooting modes include 120MP HDR 360-degree photos, 16K 360-degree Timelapse, 8K/120fps Vortex for wraparound slow motion, and 64x Pano Slow Motion in post-production via DJI Studio’s AI frame interpolation (equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps).
The camera is rated for use in temperatures as low as -20°C and is waterproof to 10 meters out of the box, with compatibility for the Invisible Waterproof Case for dives down to 50 meters. At 183g with 105GB of built-in storage, the battery supports 100 minutes of continuous recording at 8K/30fps and fast charges to 80% in 22 minutes. A Battery Extension Rod can add up to 180 minutes of additional runtime.
The DJI Osmo 360 II introduces Spotlight Follow via the updated DJI Mimo app, which tracks a subject and keeps them centred in the frame as the camera moves, without requiring manual reframing in post-production. A new NFC area on the camera allows one-tap connection to the Mimo app, direct footage transfer, or navigation to the app’s editing page. For professional production workflows, the DJI Studio plugin for DaVinci Resolve allows 360-degree footage to be imported directly for professional editing workflows.
There’s also good news for longevity – it features a replaceable lens design which can be quickly swapped upon damage, though both lenses are coated in an “ultra-hard optical film” to minimize such occasions. A built-in four-microphone array with wind noise reduction handles audio capture, and the camera is compatible with DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic Mini 2S, DJI Mic Mini 2 and DJI Mic Mini via OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection. The dual-direction quick-release magnetic mount supports DJI Osmo accessories as well as standard camera gear via a 1/4-inch thread.

DJI Osmo 360 II is available in Malaysia in three configurations: the Standard Combo at RM2,189, the Limitless Riding Combo at RM2,299, and the Adventure Combo at RM2,629. Customers who purchase and activate an eligible Osmo 360 II between 2 and 30 September 2026 will receive a free DJI Care Refresh 1-Year Plan, covering accidental damage including water damage, collisions and natural wear. Note that specific availability date in Malaysia will be announced later this month.
