vivo Malaysia has officially launched the vivo V80 Lite at a showcase event held at Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, with the on-site event featuring an endurance challenge with Malaysian actor Aedy Ashraf for the occasion. As previously announced, the device also holds a Guinness World Records title for the Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream, recorded at 32 hours and 37 minutes.
vivo V80 Lite Boasts Massive 10,000mAh Battery
The vivo V80 Lite is one of the few phones that officially breaks the 10,000mAh barrier – the other being the recently-launched REDMI Note 17 Pro Max – by using fourth-generation silicon anode technology and vivo’s Magic Cube Battery Packaging, the company rates the device for up to 16 hours of heavy use. A 3.8K Ultra Large VC Cooling System manages heat during demanding tasks, which also helps the phone to withstand 45°C ambient temperature while keeping its battery performance intact.
It’s got 44W fast charging to keep the big cell topped up in reasonably fast time, while a self-developed charging algorithm and six-layer battery protection system are designed to maintain long-term battery health, with vivo saying capacity remains at 80% or above after six years of use. The Battery Life Extender feature keeps essential functions including emergency calls accessible at 1% charge, while built-in Reverse Charging allows the device to charge external accessories, such as earbuds.
The vivo V80 Lite has passed “military-grade durability tests,” and comes with IP68/IP69 ingress protection ratings for submersion up to 1.5 meter deep for 30 minutes, 24 hours of continuous heavy rain, washing machine cycles and exposure to 27 common liquids. vivo claims the phone can withstand drops from up to 3 meters onto carpet and 1 meter onto solid surfaces, while the display glass can withstand 2,500 scratch cycles without producing visible marks.
Inside, the vivo V80 Lite features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 94.47% screen-to-body ratio, 1.35mm bezels, up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode, a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color; Dual Stereo Speakers with a VEQ Algorithm are responsible for the audio, while eye protection features include Sleep Comfort Mode, which gradually warms the color temperature before bedtime, and Gaming Eye Protection for extended play sessions.
Chipset-wise, we’re looking at MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset circa 2024, with 4x Arm Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz plus 4x Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, while Arm Mali-G610 MC2 handles graphics; imaging is handled by a 50MP Sony rear camera (plus an 2MP auxiliary sensor) and a 32MP wide-angle front camera with a 90-degree field of view, the latter intended to reduce fisheye distortion in group photos.

The vivo V80 Lite, now available in Afterglow Pink, Emerald Green and Dawn Black, is priced at RM1,499 for 6+128GB, RM1,799 for 6+256GB, and RM1,999 for 8+256GB. Pre-orders are open from 3 to 11 September 2026 at vivo Concept Stores and online.
