Sony has officially announced that the 15th edition of the Sony World Photography Awards will be accepting submissions beginning June 1st. Those who wish to submit their photos can do so via the link here.

Sony World Photography Awards 2022 Submissions Are Now Open For All 24

The Sony World Photography Awards, founded by the World Photography Organisation, are an authoritative voice in the industry. The Awards, which honour the greatest contemporary photography from the previous year, provide photographers from all over the world with extensive exposure and opportunities.

The Awards are supported by Sony in order to contribute to the continuous growth of photographic culture by providing a global platform for today’s talent. The Awards are open to everyone, and photographers are judged anonymously by a team of industry experts.

Photographers worldwide are invited to submit to the Awards’ four competitions:

  • Professional: outstanding bodies of work between 5-10 images across ten categories.
  • Open: rewarding the world’s best single images across ten categories.
  • Youth: a monthly brief for emerging talent aged 12-19.
  • Student: for photography students across the globe.

Furthermore, the National Awards program will also reward local photographic talent.

The works of all winning and shortlisted photographers will be displayed at the annual Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition in London before being travelled abroad. The winning photographs will be included in the yearly Awards book.

Pokdepinion: I like these kinds of competitions mainly because I love looking at people’s photographs. I especially love life photography as I feel that those kinds of photography are the most real and sincere out of all.
