Acer Launches Predator Helios Neo AI Series Gaming Laptops

Acer today introduced two new additions to its Predator Helios Neo lineup with the launch of the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptops, both featuring Intel Core Ultra 200HX Series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs.

Both 16-inch and 18-inch models feature two CPU and GPU options, including Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, Core Ultra 7 255HX, plus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs; RAM can be expanded up to 64GB DDR5-6400, while storage option maxes out at 2TB, with two slots available. Cooling system now feature Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans with liquid metal thermal grease, and connectivity options include Intel Killer E3100G 2.5GbE LAN and Intel Killer 1675i Wi-Fi 6E module.

Display-wise, the Helios Neo 16 AI includes an OLED QHD+ (2560×1600) display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, while the Helios Neo 18 AI features a Mini LED QHD+ (2560×1600) panel with a 250Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Both models support NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, and MUX Switch which bypass onboard graphics for increased performance.

Elsewhere, you’ll find both laptops featuring 90Wh batteries, while I/O includes Thunderbolt 4, a USB-C 10Gbps port, two USB-A 10Gbps ports, one USB-A 5Gbps port, HDMI 2.1, microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. As desktop replacement-class laptops, they’re quite heavy – the 18-inch tips the scale at 3.3kg, while the 16-inch weighs 2.7kg based on official specs.

Acer hasn’t published any local pricing or availability information at this time, though the 16-inch is expected to launch in North America starting this April, followed by 18-inch model in May this year.
