Acer Malaysia Unveils Latest Gaming Laptops & Monitor Lineup
Acer is introducing its latest Malaysia-bound lineup featuring updated Predator laptops, the new Nitro 50 desktop, and new monitors.
Starting with the gaming lineup, the newly-updated Predator Helios 18, Helios 16, and Helios Neo 16 gaming laptops now feature Intel’s 14th-gen processors. Both Helios 18 and Helios 16 can be specced with Core i9 chips with RTX 4090 laptop GPU for a combined TDP of 330W. One unique feature of the Helios is the new MagKey 3.0, providing a hot-swappable set of keys on WASD for different tactile feedback. Prices start at RM13,999 or RM10,999 for 18-inch and 16-inch respectively.
Moving down the stack, the new Helios Neo 16 brings 14th-gen Core i7 to the mix, with up to RTX 4070 laptop GPU for a combined TDP of 300W. This laptop comes with 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM – one of the fastest SO-DIMMs available from the factory – which can be later upgraded to a total of 64GB. The price of this laptop begins at RM6,399.
Acer is also bringing the new Nitro 50 desktop gaming PC with Core i5-14400F and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 in an 18-liter chassis. Other specs include 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD, with additional expansion slots available for future upgrades. The Nitro 50 will start at RM4,399.
Moving on to monitors, the company is introducing the PM161Q B portable monitor, the SA2 series home/office monitor, and the Nitro VG2 series gaming monitor. The PM161Q B is a 15.6-inch panel that connects via USB-C, which carries both power and display signals (meaning you don’t need to use a separate display cable). It costs RM459 and is now available nationwide.
The new SA2 series consists of four models: the 31.5-inch SA322QK with 4K 60Hz resolution and VA panel technology, the SA272U E with 27-inch QHD IPS with 100Hz refresh rate, plus the SA322QU A and SA322Q A that features QHD and FHD resolution respectively on a 31.5-inch 75Hz IPS panel. Prices start from RM629.
Finally, the Nitro VG2 series features the VG272K V3 and VG272U W2, with the former being a 4K 160Hz monitor with 95% DCI-P3 and the latter sporting QHD resolution with 240Hz refresh rate and 99% sRGB color gamut. They are now available at the price of RM1,199.
