Acer Malaysia Brings The New Nitro V 16 Budget Gaming Laptop
Acer Malaysia has introduced its latest entry to its gaming laptop lineup, the new Nitro V 16. This budget gaming laptop is the first of the Nitro line to feature AMD’s latest Ryzen 8000 series processors – Ryzen 7 8845HS in this case – coupled with NVIDIA RTX 4050 for graphics duty.
Elsewhere, you can find the laptop featuring 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD and 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM – interestingly, there are also enhancements in the form of “smart battery optimizations” and third-generation “power management features” that help extend its battery life. Given Ryzen’s relatively conservative power draw, the battery life should be fairly decent to boot, though Acer hasn’t quoted any numbers here.
The Nitro V 16 also features a 16-inch 16:10 FHD+ IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 3-millisecond response time. Cooling-wise, it uses a typical dual-fan, quad-exhaust setup commonly seen in gaming laptops, which Acer says allows for a combined 140W TDP. For I/O, the laptop features one USB4 (compatible with Thunderbolt 3 accessories), two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm combo jack, a LAN port, plus Wi-Fi 6E connectivity support.
Customers can now preorder the Nitro V 16 on Acer eStore, official Shopee and Lazada stores, and authorized retailers nationwide today for the price of RM4,899.
