vivo V30e 5G Officially Launched In Malaysia, Preorders Now Open
vivo’s mid-range V Series is welcoming its little brother, the new V30e 5G, to the Malaysian market. It’s segmented below the V30 and the V30 Pro, and it also features a distinct design different from the two models with its rounded camera bump.
Hardware-wise, the V30e 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It’s paired with a sizeable 5,500mAh battery that is claimed to retain 80% of its original capacity after 4 years’ worth of charge cycles. Topping up the battery involves the 44W FlashCharge fast charging. Display-wise, it features a 6.78-inch edge-curved AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. Ingress protection, however, is modest: IP64 is all you get, which protects the smartphone from water splashes.
Camera is one of the highlights of the V30e 5G – as part of the V Series lineup, it gets the signature Aura Light 3.0 feature that replaces conventional LED flash for more natural lighting, which is adjustable via a color temperature slider in the camera app. Accompanying the embedded ring light is the Sony IMX882-powered 50MP main sensor, coupled with a secondary 8MP ultrawide shooter.
Another selling point of this smartphone is its design: vivo offers two color options – Sky Mirror and Coco Brown – each featuring unique manufacturing processes to produce different looks. Regardless of which color you choose, the chassis itself weighs 179g and measures 7.65mm thick, which places it on the thinner side of the smartphone spectrum.
The vivo V30e 5G is now open for preorders, available in a single 8+256GB variant which costs RM1,399.
Pokdepinion: It sure looks premium despite the low price. Smartphones have come a long way, for sure.
