Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition

Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition Brings Stereoscopic 3D to Games

The Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition is not your ordinary gaming laptop as it lets you enjoy stereoscopic 3D without any glasses necessary. Using the SpatialLabs TrueGame app, you can play a number of supported games in 3D mode on the machine for an immersive gaming experience unlike anything ever before.

This is made possible as the software essentially takes the information from a game’s 3-dimensional environment and presenting them in a 3D stereoscopic view with the help of an eye-tracking solution, allowing you to see depth and space that you would normally not be able to in normal gaming machines. It is said to have support for over 50+ classic and modern games, with more being added later on.

As for the laptop itself, it’s a 15.6-inch 4K UHD 2D panel with liquid crystal lenticular lens that will allow it to shift from 2D to stereoscopic 3D anytime. It’s powered by up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, making it quite a beast. Memory configurations can go up to 32GB DDR5-4800 for RAM and PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD in RAID 0 for storage.

Other than that, it comes with Windows 11, Killer DoubleShot Pro, Wi-Fi 6E, HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4, a dual-fan layout using the 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and Acer CoolBoost technology. The Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition will retail for USD $3,399.99 (RM14,925.96). Pricing and availability in Malaysia is still unknown at the moment but we will report more on that as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: I’m personally curious as to how good the stereoscopic 3D gaming experience would be like, and if the novelty would wear off fast. I just hope they increase support for the number of games quick, otherwise the feature would be easily forgotten.
