Acer used its next@Acer global press conference at IFA 2026 to announce several new laptops and PCs. New entrants include the Vero 16 laptop, the Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16 laptops, the Aspire G 3D 16 laptop with naked-eye 3D display, and refreshed Aspire S series all-in-one desktops.
Acer Vero 16 Adds Fourth ‘R’ For Repairability
The Acer Vero 16 is the fourth generation of Acer’s sustainability-oriented consumer laptop line, and the company is going further beyond its 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) efforts – this laptop features a ‘4R’ design approach by adding repairability as a core principle. A big win for user repairability indeed.
On the repairability front, the laptop include a tool-free access latch on the bottom cover, a detachable external hinge, removable I/O port covers, plus user-replaceable battery and SSD. Like the Framework laptops that offers excellent guidance on user repairs, Acer engraves a visual repair guide directly onto the chassis; and while not mentioned explicitly, Acer pointed out the laptop is also designed to support processor upgrades for “at least two generations.” Upgradable CPUs in laptops, in the big 2026?
That certainly piqued my interest. Anyway – fresh out of the gate you’ll see up to Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor powering this thing, paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of SSD storage. Display options go up to a 16-inch 3K OLED panel while connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader, two USB Type-A ports and Wi-Fi 7 support.
Swift Blade 14 Weighs 799g, Swift Air 16 Offers OLED & Quad Speakers
The Acer Swift Blade 14 is a 14-inch laptop weighing 799g at 12.9mm thick – in this ultralight laptop you get up to Intel Core 7 350 with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of storage, plus 3K OLED display covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. To achieve the extreme weight-saving, Acer not only taps into magnesium-aluminum alloy for the construction, carbon fiber gets involved as well, and battery is considerably smaller (at 50Wh) to keep things as light as possible. The chassis is available Marshmallow Blue and Marshmallow White colors.
Meanwhile, the Acer Swift Air 16 measures 13.3mm thin at 1.5kg, with the same processor as the 14-inch, this time paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of upgradable storage. Display options include a 3K OLED (100% DCI-P3) or IPS touchscreen (100% sRGB) with up to 2.8K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. A quad-speaker setup with DTS Virtual:X is included for audio, along with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 70Wh battery that fast-charges to 50% in 30 minutes. It is available in Elemental Blue, Sage Green and Sandstone Gold.
Aspire G 3D 16 Adds Naked-Eye 3D, Aspire S AIOs Gain Touchscreens
The Aspire G 3D 16 is among the newest laptops to utilize dual eye-tracking cameras to create 3D effects on its displays. It runs on AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics, paired with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The display offers 3840 x 2400 native resolution, or 1920 x 2400 in 3D mode, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and a 120Hz refresh rate. The laptop also features a 99.9Wh battery and RGB-backlit keyboard with red highlighted WASD keys.
Lastly, the refreshed Aspire S 27 (27-inch) and Aspire S 24 (23.8-inch) all-in-one desktops are now powered by up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD, plus an optional touchscreen with stylus pen support in this generation. The Aspire S 27 offers either a QHD 120Hz or FHD 144Hz panel, while the Aspire S 24 comes with the FHD 144Hz option only.
