Apple’s Back to School 2026 promotion is now live in Malaysia, giving students and educators access to education pricing across Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and more. The headline offer this year (in comparison to last year’s Back to School 2025 promotion) sees students who purchase an eligible Mac or iPad receive an Apple Gift Card valued between RM400 and RM600, redeemable toward future purchases including accessories, software, or AppleCare+.
The promotion is available through Apple’s Education Store online and at local Apple Retail stores. Students can use the gift card toward items like AirPods, Apple Pencil, or a subscription to Apple Creator Studio, giving them flexibility beyond the initial purchase.
Apple Back to School 2026: Mac, iPad, and New Additions
One notable addition this cycle is Apple Watch, which has been made eligible for education pricing for the first time, both in stores and online. Apple Creator Studio, a bundle of creative and productivity apps covering video, photography, and music, is also now available at RM9.90 per month for students and educators.
Apple is also offering iCloud+ 50GB free for three months running from June through end of August. The offer is open to new customers, existing users on the free 5GB tier, and win-back customers. Redemption is available at Apple Retail stores.
Mac Lineup Pricing for Students
The Mac lineup spans three tiers for the 2026 school year. The MacBook Neo, Apple’s most affordable laptop yet, starts at RM2,999 (or RM2,599 with education pricing). It is powered by Apple silicon and available in blush, indigo, silver, and citrus finishes, aimed at first-time Mac users and everyday tasks.
The MacBook Air, available in 13- and 15-inch models, starts at RM5,499 (RM5,099 for education). Powered by the M5 chip, it offers up to 18 hours of battery life, a Liquid Retina display, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and Wi-Fi 7. It is available in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver.
At the top end, the MacBook Pro starts at RM8,299 (RM7,899 for education), available in 14- and 16-inch sizes. It is configurable with M5, M5 Pro, or M5 Max and is built for demanding workloads including pro video editing, software development, and 3D. It features a Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion, up to 24 hours of battery life, Thunderbolt 5, and a 12MP Center Stage camera.
iPad Lineup Pricing for Students
The base iPad (11-inch, A16 chip) starts at RM2,049, dropping to RM1,959 with education savings. It features a Liquid Retina display and supports Apple Pencil (USB-C), making it suited for note-taking and everyday academic tasks.
The iPad Air, powered by M4, starts at RM3,499 (RM3,269 for education) in 11- and 13-inch sizes, available in blue, purple, starlight, and space gray. The iPad Pro, running on M5 and featuring an Ultra Retina XDR display, starts at RM5,499 (RM5,039 for education) and includes the C1X modem for enhanced wireless connectivity.
Education pricing also applies to accessories. Apple Pencil Pro is available at RM499 and Apple Pencil USB-C at RM299. Magic Keyboard options range from RM1,199 to RM1,499 depending on the model and size, all at education rates.
Alongside the hardware offers, Apple Music is available at RM8.90 per month on the Student Plan, and Apple TV+ is priced at RM29.90 per month (with three months free included when purchasing a new Apple device). Students can also attend free Today at Apple in-store sessions to get more from their iPad and Mac.
