ASUS Malaysia Launches Vivobook 15X & Vivobook Go 15, Now Available Starting RM2299

ASUS Malaysia has just announced nationwide availability for the two new Vivobook models, the Vivobook 15X and the budget-focused Vivobook Go 15. Both models are expected to go on sale within this month, with some variants now available for purchase.

The new Vivobook 15X comes in with two configurations: Intel Core i5-1335U or AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, both of which will be paired with 8GB of DDR4-3200 RAM that is also expendable with a second SO-DIMM slot. However, the AMD model will come with a larger SSD capacity at 1TB, whereas the Intel model settles for 512GB instead.

Both configurations share the same traits beyond this point: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 42Wh battery; I/O includes three USB-A ports (2x USB 3.2 Gen1 + 1x USB 2.0), one USB-C port with Power Delivery, HDMI 1.4, headphone jack and DC barrel port. The Intel model costs RM3,099 and will be available within this week, whereas the AMD model is available from June onwards costing RM3,199.

Meanwhile, the budget-friendly Vivobook Go 15 is powered by AMD’s Zen 2 refresh chips codenamed “Mendocino”, or specifically Ryzen 5 7520U – paired with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5-5500 soldered onboard. Display options include a 15.6-inch TN panel or IPS panel, though both share the same 45% NTSC coverage so the viewing angles will be the only difference here.

It features the same I/O layout as the aforementioned Vivobook 15X, with the exception that USB Power Delivery is not supported on the USB-C port for this particular model. You still get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and 42Wh battery, however. The TN+8GB version costs RM2,299 and is now available, while the IPS+16GB model will come later this month with the price tag of RM2,499.

Pokdepinion: USB-PD support at this price? now that’s pretty enticing.
